The NASA DC8 is a 49 year old workhorse of NASA. Known as the "flying laboratory", it was being used in Ft.lauderdale to research nearby weather patterns in the Caribbean and gulf of mexico. He is based at FLL for a month, from May 30 too June 24, 2017 where he will conduct 16-18 research missions. This DC8 proved too be a rare catch and proved even harder too catch taking off, as he would publish his flight plane only 50 minutes before takeoff.
